Welcome to my practice!
During many years of private practice, it has been a privilege to help
individuals and couples through the process of psychotherapy. My practice specializes in functional adults
- college age through senior citizens - who are limited in some way by current challenges
or by early childhood issues.
My
practice also offers a four-week training in the Nurtured Heart Approach,
designed by Howard Glasser, which is perhaps the most effective parenting approach
for difficult children. In
addition, I’m a Certified Professional Life Coach to assist clients in
making practical and focused changes in their lives. Coaching offers
goal-oriented strategies for personal growth and provides motivational
support as
well.
As
a client in my practice, you will receive skillful, thoughtful listening, help
clarifying your current situation and goals, and concrete, creative support as
you progress and learn more about yourself. My training has particularly
equipped me to help clients enhance affective awareness and overcome
long-standing emotional problems.
To my work with people, I bring dedication, compassion, light-heartedness, and kind insight. My training has included meditation and spiritual counseling with an interfaith orientation. My overall perspective is integrative and holistic; carefully considering with you what is optimal for your whole being: mind, body, heart and spirit.

My hope is to offer the best of psychotherapy, with professional competence and integrity:
- if you feel a need for a psychotherapist to
help with a current loss or issue you’re struggling with;
- if you are in a relationship that is suffering
and need to engage in couples therapy;
- if you have a challenging child to parent;
- if you are looking for a life coach with
psychological training;
- or if you have done personal growth work and now wish to work in a new, deeper way to live more fully.
The door is open.
